01 / NEEDLoss of skin firmness - where to start?
A decrease in skin firmness, elasticity and density does not always require increasing the volume. First, we assess the quality of the tissues, the rate of change and the area that actually needs support.
A description of the appearance or sensation is a conversation starter, but is not a diagnosis or indication for a specific procedure. The decision is influenced by anatomy, health, previous treatments, tissue quality and the expected nature of the change.
What might attract attention?
- thinner and less elastic skin
- delicate creases visible also without facial expressions
- loss of freshness despite proper care
- change in the quality of the skin of the face, neck or cleavage
02 / ANALYSISWhat do we evaluate before choosing a method?
- thickness, elasticity and hydration of the skin
- area and depth of the problem
- previous therapies and tendency to edema
- real time needed to assess tissue response
Not every visible change requires surgery. Sometimes it is more appropriate to care, observe, consult another specialist or consciously refrain from the procedure.
03 / POSSIBILITIESWhat directions might be considered?
Tissue stimulators
Selected according to the needs of the skin, not according to the popularity of the product name.
Plasma and fibrin
Autologous procedures considered as a regenerative direction.
The final scope, preparation, number of stages and cost are determined individually after medical qualification.
04 / KNOWLEDGELoss of skin firmness and aesthetic medicine
Skin laxity may appear gradually as its density, elasticity and regenerative capacity decrease. It is visible on the face, neck and cleavage, but in each of these areas the tissues have a different structure and require an individual approach.
The consultation is not about mechanical "tension" of the skin. The doctor assesses its thickness, hydration, reactivity and the relationship between tissue quality and volume change. Only then can tissue stimulators, autologous procedures or another phased aesthetic medicine plan be considered.
05 / CONSULTATIONWhat does it look like to make a decision?
The conversation covers your goal, health status, medications, allergies, and previous procedures. Then Dr Małgorzata Osikowicz analyzes indications, contraindications, alternatives and possible limitations. The treatment does not have to take place on the same day.
