01 / NEEDLips - contour, proportion and hydration - where to start?
A lip need doesn't always mean bigger lips. Sometimes the goal is to provide a subtle contour, equalize proportions, support hydration or tidy up the results of previous treatments.
A description of the appearance or sensation is a conversation starter, but is not a diagnosis or indication for a specific procedure. The decision is influenced by anatomy, health, previous treatments, tissue quality and the expected nature of the change.
What might attract attention?
- blurring the natural contour of the lips
- disproportion between the upper and lower lip
- asymmetry visible when resting or smiling
- previous preparation influencing the current shape
02 / ANALYSISWhat do we evaluate before choosing a method?
- mouth at rest, speech and smile
- the proportions of the lips in relation to the entire face
- history of previous administration of the preparation
- anatomical conditions and possible limitations
Not every visible change requires surgery. Sometimes it is more appropriate to care, observe, consult another specialist or consciously refrain from the procedure.
03 / POSSIBILITIESWhat directions might be considered?
Lip modeling
The scope may include contour, proportion, volume or hydration.
Phased plan
For earlier treatments, observation or staging may be safer.
The final scope, preparation, number of stages and cost are determined individually after medical qualification.
04 / KNOWLEDGELip modeling, asymmetry and previous filling
Lip modeling with hyaluronic acid may not only concern volume. Patients also ask about improving the contour, delicate hydration, equalizing proportions and asymmetry of the lips. Each of these goals requires a different plan and should include the mouth both at rest and when speaking and smiling.
The history of previous treatments is particularly important. The presence of a preparation, migration, unevenness or an effect that does not meet current expectations may change the safe course of action. Subsequent administration of hyaluronic acid is not always the first or best step.
05 / CONSULTATIONWhat does it look like to make a decision?
The conversation covers your goal, health status, medications, allergies, and previous procedures. Then Dr Małgorzata Osikowicz analyzes indications, contraindications, alternatives and possible limitations. The treatment does not have to take place on the same day.
