Proportions / Lip modeling

Not according to trend.
According to your face.

We start modeling the lips with proportions, facial expressions and a conversation about expectations. The goal is not one applicable shape, but a conscious correction tailored to the person.

Contour, proportion
or subtle volume.

The patient can expect an improvement in contour, correction of asymmetry, emphasizing proportions or increasing volume. Each of these goals requires different planning.

Previous treatments, the behavior of tissues in movement, the relationship of the upper and lower lips and harmony with the facial profile are also assessed.

The mouth is part
whole face.

Contour, projection and volume should be in relation to the profile, teeth, bite and facial expressions. The most luxurious result doesn't scream treatment - it also looks natural while talking and smiling.

We do not copy the shape. We are looking for the right proportion for a specific person.

One shape
for everyone.

No copying

An inspiration photo may help describe expectations, but does not replace the patient's anatomy.

No excess

The range is based on tissue capabilities and proportions, not the full volume of the package.

No pressure

After the consultation, you can safely come back with a decision at another time.

What does lip modeling actually mean?

For one person, the goal is to mark the contour more delicately, for another to equalize the proportions between the upper and lower lip, improve symmetry or replenish the volume lost over time. Not every goal requires the same technique or the same amount of preparation.

Popular method terms often describe a trend or style of work, but they are not a substitute for research. An effect from another person's photo cannot be copied to another anatomy.

Why do we judge more than just the lips?

The profile, tissue support, the relationship of the mouth to the nose and chin, the bite, the exposure of the teeth when smiling and the work of the muscles are important. That's why combining dental experience with aesthetic medicine can help you avoid a plan that is disconnected from your function and smile.

Natural asymmetries should not always be completely corrected. Sometimes trying to get it perfectly even would lead to excess volume.

How does healing take place?

The immediate appearance is not the end result. Swelling may be uneven, and tenderness and bruising may persist for some time. The patient receives recommendations regarding hygiene, activity and situations requiring urgent contact.

The outcome can only be assessed once the tissues have settled. Małgorzata Osikowicz, MD, will recommend the appropriate timing for a follow-up based on the procedure performed.

Can the preparation be added after a previous treatment?

First, you need to assess what was given, when and in what quantity. Migration, unevenness or persistent swelling may require treatment other than subsequent filling.

A phased plan is sometimes the best way to maintain proportion. The decision to undergo another procedure should not be based solely on the passage of time.

Approach to treatment

The most beautiful lips match the face even when the patient does not say that she has had the procedure.

The first days are not
the end result.

The lips are highly vascularized and mobile, so immediately after the procedure they may look different than after full healing.

Before the procedure

Discuss herpes, allergies, medications, medical conditions, and previous fillers. Active infection may be a reason to postpone the procedure.

Natural swelling

Temporary asymmetry, tenderness or bruising does not determine the outcome. Self-massage should not be performed without specific instructions.

Alarm signals

Severe increasing pain, unusual color change or other disturbing symptoms require immediate contact with the office.

A beautiful plan must be safe.

  • Swelling and bruising may temporarily affect your appearance after treatment.
  • There are rare vascular complications that require immediate attention and treatment.
  • Active infection, certain diseases, medications and other circumstances may constitute a contraindication or reason for postponement.

Is the effect visible immediately?

Immediately after treatment, the appearance may be changed by swelling. Final evaluation is done after healing.

Can you get a very natural result?

Planning based on proportions and moderate scope is precisely for naturalness, but the result always depends on the anatomy and tissue reactions.

What if I had filler before?

Please inform your doctor about the type of product, time and place of administration. Additional assessment may be needed.
