01 / NEEDDark circles under the eyes and tear trough - where to start?
Dark circles under the eyes may be due to anatomy, skin quality, vascularity, swelling or loss of support. A similar appearance does not mean the same problem and should not automatically lead to one treatment.
A description of the appearance or sensation is a conversation starter, but is not a diagnosis or indication for a specific procedure. The decision is influenced by anatomy, health, previous treatments, tissue quality and the expected nature of the change.
What might attract attention?
- thin or less elastic skin under the eyes
- a depression and a shadow in the valley of tears
- swelling or tendency to retain fluid
- asymmetry or change that occurs with age
02 / ANALYSISWhat do we evaluate before choosing a method?
- the cause of dark circles and the quality of the skin
- tendency to swelling
- support for the middle layer of the face
- safety of the selected material and alternative
Not every visible change requires surgery. Sometimes it is more appropriate to care, observe, consult another specialist or consciously refrain from the procedure.
03 / POSSIBILITIESWhat directions might be considered?
Plasma and fibrin
The regenerative direction is selected according to the quality of the skin.
ATR or ratio plan
Only considered after careful evaluation of anatomy and indications.
The final scope, preparation, number of stages and cost are determined individually after medical qualification.
04 / KNOWLEDGEDark circles under the eyes, tear trough and thin skin
Dark circles under the eyes may be pigmented, vascular, anatomical, or may result from a depression known as the tear trough. They are also affected by swelling and support of the middle part of the face. For this reason, one method is not suitable for every person.
The eye area requires special care. Aesthetic medicine can, in selected cases, support skin quality or improve proportions, but qualification includes an assessment of the tendency to edema, anatomy and previous treatments. Sometimes the safest decision is to forego the procedure in this area.
05 / CONSULTATIONWhat does it look like to make a decision?
The conversation covers your goal, health status, medications, allergies, and previous procedures. Then Dr Małgorzata Osikowicz analyzes indications, contraindications, alternatives and possible limitations. The treatment does not have to take place on the same day.
